Joinery Designer

The successful Kitchen Designer will be responsible for producing visually stimulating and functional layouts and designs, creating detailed plans, sourcing materials and managing multiple projects at once with a focus on customer satisfaction. The Kitchen Designer will build strong relationships with in-house teams, clients and suppliers, ensuring smooth implementation of kitchen designs.

Necessary Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or certification in Interior Design
  • Experience in designing kitchens, including advanced knowledge of cabinetry, hardware, finishes, surfacing materials, and trends
  • Excellent design, visual and spatial acuity, and technical drafting skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage client relationships with tact and diplomacy
  • Ability to create detailed budgets, manage multiple projects, and meet project and team deadlines
  • Experience with design software such as CAD and SketchUp
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and safety standards
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as measuring and site visits
  • Strong commitment to staying current on industry trends, kitchen design innovations, and preservation of the environment.
